The Hobie 16 and Dragoon Nationals were held at the Poole Hobie Cat Centre over the weekend of Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October 2009. With a great turnout and strong winds the first day got off to a flying start. Sadly too much wind for the lighter Dragoon teams! But day 2 was a little more gentle and all the boats enjoyed a great day of sailing.

The annual “Round Brownsea Island” charity race was postponed until Sunday but it still attracted many Hobie sailors in a variety of Hobies to enter the race.

Steve and Hazel at the Hobie Cat Centre organised a fantastic Hobie party on the beach on Saturday evening.

Hobie 16s

2nd David and Emma Boniface
3rd Paul Limpus and Paul Duncliffe

Dragoons
1st Seb Samways and Dan Channing
2nd Charles and Harry Willets
3rd Alicia Clifford and Siobham Lamb
